A WEEK “BREAK” BEFORE THE END OF WINTER
Many Quebec students enjoy spring break during the first week of March. For the occasion, several activities for all ages and tastes will be offered throughout the city. Whether it’s with family, a spouse or friends, we like to take advantage of what Montreal-the-beautiful has to offer in the beginning of March, the last “official” month of winter. Because who said spring break was reserved for children? We too want to enjoy the most of it!
For outdoor enthusiasts
Mont-Royal is within walking distance of HOTEL10 and offers several outdoor activities perfect for enjoying winter in the heart of Montreal. Tubing slides, walking trails, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, skating rink on Beaver Lake, everything is there to experience winter like a true Montrealer. Our suggestion: arrive in the morning to enjoy the calm of the trails, and take advantage of the afternoon sun to go tubing, skate, and enjoy a hot chocolate break at the mountain chalet.
In Montreal, we play!
Until the 8th of March, 45 local libraries are participating in the “Montreal Joue festival,” a festival in which you are the hero offering workshops and activities focused around board games and video games. In total, more than 300 activities will be offered to game enthusiasts in different cultural establishments in the city.
A panoramic spring break
Take your Montreal journey to new heights with a visit to the Place Ville Marie Observatory. Enjoy the breathtaking views and see if you can spot some of the city’s most iconic buildings. As the sun sets, hop on a heated cabin in the Montreal Observation Wheel for another perspective of our beloved Montreal from 60 meters in the air. Because our city is as beautiful at night than during the day.
For the more indoorsy
You prefer to stay indoors? No problem! Until March 7, the 38th edition of the “Rendez-vous Québec Cinéma” offers a current look at Quebec cinematographic achievements, ranging from emerging works to timeless classics. The RV2020 spans 11 days, 300 movies and hundreds of free events. Enough to make beautiful cultural discoveries!
No matter your idea of an ideal spring break, you are sure to find something to your liking thanks to Montreal’s wide variety of activities
